Northwest Education Loan Association^® (NELA^®) is a not-for-profit student loan guarantor that administers the Federal Family Education Loan Program and guarantees payment of loans in the event of default. NELA is an affiliate of USA Funds^®. Established in 1960, USA Funds is a nonprofit organization that works to enhance postsecondary education preparedness, access and success.
